The Characters of Town – Historic Walking Tours of Bridgetown aims to enlighten and educate locals and visitors on the rich history Bridgetown holds.
Join this interactive walking tour of Historic Bridgetown, exploring intriguing sites, meeting local characters, and enjoying a uniquely Bajan experience!
Tours run concurrently at 9:30am, 11:00am, 3:00pm every Thursday and Saturday (for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes)
Admission:
Adults: Bds $30
Groups of 4 or more: Bds $24 per person
Children under 10 y.o.: FREE

National Heroes Square, Bridgetown, Barbados

This year Barbados celebrates it 54th Anniversary of Independence with a Salute to the Nation Parade and a National Independence Awards Ceremony.

The presentation of National Independence Awards will performed be by Governor General Dame Sandra Mason. The presentation will be held at the National Heroes Square on Monday, November 30, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

The Barbados Regiment will provide the Guard of Honour, while the other troops on Parade will be the Flag Orderlies and the Massed Band of the Royal Barbados Police Force and the Barbados Defence Force.

Prime Minister The Hon. Mia Amor Mottley will deliver a Message to the Nation.

Also in attendance will be Chief Justice Patterson Cheltenham; Leader of the Opposition, Joseph Atherley; National Hero The Right Excellent Sir Garfield Sobers; Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith; Chief of Staff of the BDF, Colonel Glyne Grannum, National Independence Awardees and specially invited guests.

You can expect entertainment from RPB, Edwin Yearwood, Lil Rick, Biggie Rick, TC, HypaSounds, Fadda Fox, Lead Pipe & Saddis, Marzville, Marvay, Holla Bak, Nikita and Dj Puffy. All backed by the Session Squad Project Band. Your host for the night are Barrie Hype and Faith Callender.
