Mount Gay Distilleries invite you to discover the history of Mount Gay and taste the full range of their rums.

On the Full Tasting Signature Rum Tasting Tour, you will learn about the rich history of Mount Gay Rum after meeting your Brand Host, the tour will kick off with complimentary welcome Rum Punch. While you enjoy your cocktail your host will take you on a journey through the Legacy Museum which offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into the illustrious history of Mount Gay Rum and the island of Barbados.

From there, you will view a short film which gives an explanation of the process of how Mount Gay rums are produced. Next, you will be taken to the Tasting Room where you will enjoy an experience of flavour of 5 Mount Gay rums, including the Origin Series Volume 2. Your host will walk you through the tasting explaining the differences between each rum that you taste.

To complete the tasting, you will then be taken to the Signature Bar for a chance to indulge in some wonderfully crafted cocktails with the very knowledgeable mixologists. After the tasting, make sure to visit the gift shop to purchase some bottles or souvenirs for yourself. Some of the rums can only be purchased on the island!

You can also enjoy finger foods or lunch for purchase at the Live Grill.

Agrofest is a unique agricultural exhibition that caters to the entire family.

This is Barbados Agricultural Society‘s annual Exhibition. Farmers, craft persons and processors of agricultural products are among the many exhibitors each year. Last year there were approximately 60,000 visitors over the three day show and over 250 exhibits running daily.

This a street party with thousands of revelers jamming behind music trucks in the early hours of the morning.

Also known as ‘Mud Mas‘ revelers daub themselves with paint and mud and do their best to similarly daub their friends.

It’s a lot cooler at that time of morning!

Plenty of food and drink available.

Organised by the National Cultural Foundation (NCF), the event is expected to attract many bands of registered revelers. There’ll be many ‘unregistered’ as well!

Security is provided.

There are three starting points:

  • Queen’s Park, Bridgetown
  • Helipad in Bridgetown
  • The Barbados Investment & Development Corporation (BIDC), Pelican House, Princess Alice Highway, Bridgetown

It ends as usual at the Mighty Grynner Highway (formerly the Spring Garden).
