This will be a Tour featuring the “Ruins” of Barbados, showcasing how architecture of old Barbados has stood the test of time.

Learn things about Barbados that you never knew you never knew with senior tour guide, Klebere. Enjoy the day with friends as you bring a picnic basket to rediscover a Bygone Barbados.

Moderate Walking Tour involved in this tour. Please wear comfortable shoes.

– Farley Hill National Park
– Harrison Point Lighthouse

About the Scenic Bus Tour:
Locals are offered the opportunity to learn more about the history and heritage of their island through this unique activity. Local knowledge is enhanced with anecdotes and fascinating stories that reveal the country as Barbadians have never seen it before.

Learn about the island in a fun and exciting way, while recreating a popular past-time of yesteryear. Bring the entire family, and prepare to enjoy a great day out with lunch. This tour takes you to either the north or the south of the island, where natural and cultural heritage features are pointed out by a knowledgeable guide. One or two tours are offered each month to educate locals on Barbados’ history.

NOTE: Lunch is not included in the cost of this tour, and patrons are encouraged to bring a packed lunch to be enjoyed at the picnic spot.

Tickets may be purchased by Aug 20th at the BMHS Museum Shop. Spaces are limited and payment must be made in advance at the Barbados Museum to secure your seat.

The National Cultural Foundation presents 2020 Junior Kadooment & Fair on Saturday July 25th 2020.

The Junior Kadooment is a smaller version of the Grand Kadooment – without the street parade.
Bands of costumed juniors vie for titles and prizes.

The Children of Crop Over get their opportunity to parade in mass colour and splendor at Kensington Oval. The day will be filled with dreams and vision as we continue to safeguard the traditions of masquerade in the sweetest summer festival. The event features the parade of the Kings & Queens of the Junior Bands, The Parade of the Junior Bands, the Party Zone, Cool Down Zone & After Party.

Bands of costumed juniors vie for titles and prizes. Judging is based on portrayal, craftsmanship, presentation, originality and visual impact. Kensington Oval will provide a state of the art venue for the young masqueraders to parade and party. The event will also provide a family friendly environment for visitors to the island who wish to participate in the festival.
