Event Description

Barbados Cancer Society’s Breast Screening Programme in association with CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank presents the annual Walk for the Cure –  National Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Walk for the Cure is now in it’s 8th year!

The Walk starts from: CIBC FirstCaribbean Head Office, Warrens

Start Time: 3:00 pm

5K Run Start Time: 3:30pm
5K Walk Start Time: 3:45pm

Route: The 5K Run and Walk starts outside CIBC FirstCaribbean Warrens, then heading up the hill towards the stoplights at Hinds Hill. Turn right to the stoplights at Queen’s College. Right at the lights across Clermont to the loop by Simpson Motors and finish between Chefette and Sol Gas Station in Warrens.

The National Cultural Foundation presents 2020 Junior Kadooment & Fair on Saturday July 25th 2020.

The Junior Kadooment is a smaller version of the Grand Kadooment – without the street parade.
Bands of costumed juniors vie for titles and prizes.

The Children of Crop Over get their opportunity to parade in mass colour and splendor at Kensington Oval. The day will be filled with dreams and vision as we continue to safeguard the traditions of masquerade in the sweetest summer festival. The event features the parade of the Kings & Queens of the Junior Bands, The Parade of the Junior Bands, the Party Zone, Cool Down Zone & After Party.

Bands of costumed juniors vie for titles and prizes. Judging is based on portrayal, craftsmanship, presentation, originality and visual impact. Kensington Oval will provide a state of the art venue for the young masqueraders to parade and party. The event will also provide a family friendly environment for visitors to the island who wish to participate in the festival.
