The National Cultural Foundation presents 2020 Junior Kadooment & Fair on Saturday July 25th 2020.

The Junior Kadooment is a smaller version of the Grand Kadooment – without the street parade.
Bands of costumed juniors vie for titles and prizes.

The Children of Crop Over get their opportunity to parade in mass colour and splendor at Kensington Oval. The day will be filled with dreams and vision as we continue to safeguard the traditions of masquerade in the sweetest summer festival. The event features the parade of the Kings & Queens of the Junior Bands, The Parade of the Junior Bands, the Party Zone, Cool Down Zone & After Party.

Bands of costumed juniors vie for titles and prizes. Judging is based on portrayal, craftsmanship, presentation, originality and visual impact. Kensington Oval will provide a state of the art venue for the young masqueraders to parade and party. The event will also provide a family friendly environment for visitors to the island who wish to participate in the festival.

11:00 pm - 6:00 am

This a street party with thousands of revelers jamming behind music trucks in the early hours of the morning.

Also known as ‘Mud Mas‘ revelers daub themselves with paint and mud and do their best to similarly daub their friends.

It’s a lot cooler at that time of morning!

Plenty of food and drink available.

Organised by the National Cultural Foundation (NCF), the event is expected to attract many bands of registered revelers. There’ll be many ‘unregistered’ as well!

Security is provided.

There are three starting points:

  • Queen’s Park, Bridgetown
  • Helipad in Bridgetown
  • The Barbados Investment & Development Corporation (BIDC), Pelican House, Princess Alice Highway, Bridgetown

It ends as usual at the Mighty Grynner Highway (formerly the Spring Garden).
