Barbados Yacht Club, Carlisle Bay, St. Michael

    08 Nov, 2023

The Barbados Open Water Festival (BOWF) 2023 once again takes place in beautiful Carlisle Bay.

Open Water swim events (1.5km, 3.3km, 5km, 10km and ‘Just for Fun’ swim races) plus stand-up paddle board races and kayak team relay races.

A wonderful mix of recreational swimmers, competitive junior and master swimmers, triathletes, water polo players, swim club groups, Olympians, World Champions and elite swimmers will all line up together from start to finish.

The festival runs for five fabulous days – three days of practice swims and two days of “Races”.

    Schedule:

Wednesday 8th November 2023- Barbados yacht club (BYC) is the new headquarters for the weekend Races as well as the Wednesday practice swim. The BYC is a safer location with much less congestion in the water and on the beach.

Thursday 9th November 2023 – La Cabana Beach on Batts Rock Beach is the new location for the Thursday practice swim. La Cabana is a trendy beach bar, the swim route is excellent and best of all its much closer to the south coast where most visitors stay.

Friday 10th November 2023 – Sandy Beach in worthing is our new location for the Friday practice swim. Sandy Beach is much more conveniently located than the previous locations and the swim route is awesome.

    Awards presentation immediately afterwards.
Food, drinks and souvenirs on sale all day.
    MC and DJ entertainment.
