The Caribbean Permaculture Research Institute of Barbados CPRI Barbados is holding monthly Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) courses in sustainable garden and farming practices.
Each Course can be taken on its own or as a separate Module of their 10-part PDC Certificate.
This month, they present Module 2, entitled Water Harvesting and Earthworks.
In this workshop, you will explore all forms of slowing, storing and sinking water from rooftop collecting and filtration to large ponds in the landscape. How do we harvest and make the most use of water? How can we aid in sinking it to recharge our aquifers instead of letting it flood straight out to the sea?
Learn about earthworks from the scale of a shovel to an excavator.
Moving earth is one of the most expensive aspects of large designs. Properly designed earthworks can be extremely durable and cost effective in the long run.
Per Module Bds $100
