Topic: Sankofa: Barbados-Ghana Collection.
Featured Speaker: Rev. Solomon Odoom
The consciousness of cultural heritage of Afro-Barbadians has questioned their true identity outside of the Barbadian narrative. In order to fully answer this question, more Afro-Barbadians need to be dedicated to the restoration of African roots and heritage. By understanding the Ghanaian norms and traditions and the juxtaposed relationship with Africa, one serves as a glimpse into our intangible ancestral inheritance and contemporary commonalities. The other an established legacy of an incredulous philosophy that vehemently clutches to the negative perception of Africa. Therefore, it is we start the conversation to answer these questions as Afro-Barbadians: Who are we? What are we missing?
