International Museum Day Week of Activities 2018

In celebration of International Museum Day on Fri May 18th 2018, the Barbados Museum and Historical Society (BMHS) has created a whole week of activities.

International Museum Day is celebrated at over 35,000 museums in 157 countries. This year’s theme is Hyper-connectivity: New Approaches, New Publics.

Here's the Schedule:

All Week - BMHS, The Garrison, St. Michael
Artist Interventions
Come see how local contemporary artists interpret and respond to the museum's collections. There will be installations by Llanor Alleyne, Annalee Davis, Katherine Kennedy, Adam Patterson, Adrian Richards and Kraig Yearwood throughout the Museum. Curator Talk with Social History Curator Natalie McGuire
Learn more about the Museum’s Social History collection. Go behind the scenes to learn the acquisition process and collection care. You also get to hear how 3D Photogrammetry digitises the artifacts!
